This is the first look at Armie Hammer as the Lone Ranger and Johnny Depp as his trusted sidekick, Tonto. Now people of all ages will know where 'Hi, ho, Silver!' came from.
Today, when asked how an Avengers sequel could possibly be bigger and better than its predecessor, Joss Whedon had this to say:
"By not trying to. By being smaller. More personal, more painful... By being the next thing that should happen to these characters, and not just a rehash of what seemed to work the first time. By having a theme that is completely fresh and organic to itself."
This is the mistake that most comic book movies make, in my opinion. They try too hard to 'do what worked the first time'. Fans don't want regurgitation of the same formula. Comics aren't like that (the good ones, anyway)-and their spin-off movies shouldn't be, either! I'm seriously thinking about starting a church for Joss.
